Ali Hosseini is a multimedia composer and performer working across contemporary composition, audiovisual art, and performative media. Trained in composition at the Tehran Conservatory of Music and currently completing a master’s degree in Applied Music at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Nicolini in Piacenza, his practice spans electroacoustic music, live visuals, and spatial audio.
His work draws on Iranian microtonal traditions in dialogue with contemporary compositional approaches, often unfolding through interdisciplinary formats that engage opera, theatre, and dance.
His diverse background in Iranian music and experience performing on multiple instruments have informed a distinctive artistic language, leading to the creation of works such as Opus (2024), Delirium (2024), Legend of the Christmas Rose (2025), and Moving with Time (2025).
By integrating sound, image, and space, he creates immersive environments in which audiovisual elements function as a unified, performative language. His projects explore perception, embodiment, and the spatial relationships between listening and seeing. His projects have been presented
at international festivals and platforms including IRCAM (France), ICMC 2026 (Best Music Award Winner ) , U V M COSMOCENO (Brazil), Simultan Festival (Romania), MA/IN Festival (Italy), SEHSUCHTE Festival (Germany), Festival Tous Courts (France), Musicmediale Festival (Italy), Public Shorts Festival (Germany).
